Job description
As the Head of PR for Greater China, Singapore, and Malaysia, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the brand's presence and reputation across these key markets. Based in Shanghai and reporting to the Global PR Director in Paris, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR initiatives that align with the brand's overall goals and objectives. Strong expertise in organic and paid influencer strategy on social media platforms is required for this role.
Your missions will be the following :
Strategy Development
Develop and implement tailored PR strategies for Greater China (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong), Singapore, and Malaysia to strengthen brand awareness and perception.
Align PR initiatives with HQ objectives to maximize impact and visibility.
Influencer Engagement
Leverage strong business knowledge of influencer marketing in China to identify and collaborate with influencers, KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), and celebrities.
Develop relationships with celebrity agencies and negotiate ambassador contracts and partnerships to enhance brand visibility and reach.
Media Relations
Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers across the region.
Secure positive media coverage through strategic pitching and media outreach efforts.
Develop contacts with press (print and digital).
Event Management
Plan and execute PR events.
Organize store receptions and other events to engage with key stakeholders and enhance brand presence.
Analytics and Reporting
Monitor, analyze, and report on PR performance metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve PR strategies and outcomes.
Team Leadership & Budget Management
Lead, mentor, and manage the PR team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Coordinate with the global PR team in Paris to maintain consistent messaging and strategy.
Manage the PR budget for the region, and allocate resources strategically to maximize impact and ROI.
Travel and Flexibility
Frequent travel to Beijing is awaited.
Flexibility to travel within Greater China, Singapore, and Malaysia, as well as to Polène’s HQ in Paris.
Job requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations within the fashion industry.
Proven experience in PR leadership roles with a focus on Greater China markets.
Strong network of media contacts and influencers in the region.
Experience in celebrity agency management and ambassador contract negotiation is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin (proficiency in other regional languages is a plus).
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into effective PR campaigns.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
