Job description

Established in 2016 by three siblings, Polène crafts a collection of leathergoods that blends minimalism and creative exploration to offer unique shapes and signatures achieved through excellent craftsmanship.

The leather, sourced exclusively from certified Italian and Spanish tanneries, is sculpted to create organic forms, folds, drapery effects, or weavings.

The manufacturing process is entrusted to our artisans in Ubrique, a city in Spain specializing in high-end leathergoods, which hosts all of Polène's production trades.

Since 2023, Polène has been expanding into a new realm of expression: jewelry. Thematic collections explore nature, from the undulations of the wind to the textures of rocks sculpted into the material.

THE POLENE ENVIRONMENT


With its strong promise of quality and creativity, and in a context of rapid international growth, Polène is seeking a new part-time brand ambassador for its Soho boutique in NYC, capable of representing and sharing its values and history.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will join Polène to become an ambassador, ensuring an exceptional customer experience within the boutique.


WHAT THE POLÈNE ADVENTURE HOLDS FOR YOU


1. Welcoming Customers

  • Provide a warm welcome to every customer in line with Polène’s brand codes.
  • Assist in managing both internal and external customer flow in collaboration with the Security team.
  • Handle high foot traffic while maintaining excellence in customer service.
  • Ensure a smooth customer journey in the boutique, directing customers to the appropriate queues based on their needs.
  • Act as a liaison with sales advisors for customer inquiries or purchases.
  • Engage with customers in the outside queue, providing information on stock availability across different stores and wait times. Identify priority customers (e.g., those with special needs or reservations).


2. Being a Polène Ambassador

  • Embody Polène’s values: maintain a polished appearance, demonstrate impeccable etiquette, and have a deep understanding of the collections and brand storytelling.
  • Serve as an ambassador of the boutique: assist in maintaining merchandising on the sales floor and ensure the cleanliness of the sales area.
  • Offer suggestions for improving the customer experience.

Job requirements

KEYS TO SUCCESS
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role (hospitality, retail, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent memory, and a keen sense of observation.
  • A naturally kind and attentive personality, with the ability to adapt to different situations and manage high traffic.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of an additional language is a plus, as is cultural sensitivity for personalized customer interactions.
  • Team spirit and comfort in engaging with the public are essential.


This position is to be filled on a part-time basis.
